The iPad, first of all, has a touch screen. It can register swipes, taps, and has the ability to sense when two fingers are on the screen at once. It also has internet connection, although no Flash player. It can play YouTube videos (see photo). The iPad can record sound. And, using SD cards, it can store photos.
There are applications (apps) that allow you to edit photos. You can do email, and paste photos on email too! The iPad has games also. It has many simulations--there's one about pottery, for instance, and one where you can design a music box. It has apps for TV channels, like the Weather Channel, the ABC channel, and many others. It has maps, and also has this cool app called Google Earth (see video) which allows you to type in an address, and you can see it from above.
The App Store, though, is what makes it all possible. You can buy stuff online, and it automatically takes the money from your account. You can choose from different categories, or just mess around until you find something you like. And also, if you want to buy something, you have to enter your private password (you have to enter it to change the settings too), so nobody can buy stuff behind your back. There are also apps that are completely FREE!
Well, there you are --that's my description of the iPad!
P.S. I wrote this report on the iPad, and I'm going to send it using the iPad, and I'm going to look at it online with the iPad! (that's how I knew all that stuff).
[Editor P.S: Youngzine looks quite good on the iPad, but some of the Flash games and videos don't work yet]
If you had (or have) an iPad, what would your favorite activity be?
