As educators, you are at the forefront of shaping our children's minds and hearts, helping them make sense of this changing world and inspiring and preparing them for the opportunities.
At Youngzine, we believe our role is supporting you and helping you develop young people that will work towards a just and sustainable future. The journey to becoming a global citizen, who can "think globally, act locally" begins with awareness.
Many educators have remarked that Youngzine is a great resource and a perfect complement to academic material. Relating to current events not only makes students more aware of what's going on but also helps them absorb concepts better.
Youngzine's news articles are FREE for all educators.
The integrated "Classroom" portal gives you an option to have your students join Youngzine with a Classroom CODE, and allows you to create classroom assignments and foster discussions among students.
A FEW IMPORTANT NOTES :
- Teachers - you can create an account on Youngzine (native, OR sign on with your Google school email) HERE.
- If your students have a school email, they can join with Google Single Sign-on HERE and do NOT need a CODE.
- If you are already using Google Classroom or other platforms, you can continue to use those and link to the Youngzine news articles in your assignments.
- If you want to use our CLIMATE CORE content in your classrooms, you will need to create a Classroom on Youngzine for us to enable access to you and your students.
It just takes a couple of minutes to get started with an account and create a classroom. JOIN YOUNGZINE!
If you have any questions or comments, please reach out to us - we'd love to make this work for you and your students.
