Pandas are among my favorite animals. The adults weigh about 165 - 353 pounds. When the little pandas are born they weigh about 4 - 8 ounces. Some people say, "They were born to play". Their life span is about 18 - 20 years in the wilderness, and 30 - 35 years in captivity. Most of the world's Panda Bears live in China, though there are some in captivity in zoos in other parts of the world.
What do Pandas eat? A lot of bamboo! In fact, a panda's diet consiste of 99% of bamboo. Pandas eat about 20 - 40 pounds of bamboo per day!
Why are pandas going extinct?
Humans say different things about why pandas are extinct. They could be extinct because they could be running out of room, possibly they might be hunted my humans. Or the humans could be destroying the panda’s habitat. I personally think that the girl and boy pandas are not hanging out with each other so, that means no baby pandas!
