Yes, the pyramids are mostly made out of limestone and sandstone. Nine humongous granite blocks were built in Khufu's Great Pyramid.

That's a really good observation. Using modern technology, they tried to build and balance a reconstructed obelisk made in the time of the reign of the great Queen Hasthepsut. They couldn't do it! Hatshepsut 10, modern technology 0.

Yes, the Great Pyramid was a huge and extravagant tomb for the pharaoh Khufu. I am not surprised that a couple more rooms have been discovered.
