Service dogs provide more than their friendship, they provide security and independent living for the people they serve. Some service dogs are trained to help blind people navigate through our world. Guide dogs are working when it looks like they are out for a walk. A guide dog should not be bothered when it is on duty, especially when it is guiding it's person across the street! When a guide dog puts on his or her working harness, it assumes a more confident posture.
