Some of the greatest treasures of Egyptian art have ended up in foreign countries, including the Rosetta Stone, which unlocked the secrets of Egyptian hieroglyphs. Now Egypt wants the Rosetta Stone back, if only for a visit.

A similar battle is being fought by Greece, which wants the "Acropolis marbles" back from the U.K. Don't you think it's about time we gave back these countries their ancient treasures?!

Zahir Hawass is a very famous archaeologist and in charge of all that goes on in excavations. I think it's time the countries returned these objects to their original places. The "Stonehenge" logic is a really good way of putting it.

Some Egyptian artifacts weren't found by the Egyptians. Take the Rosetta Stone for example: Two Frenchman found the stone and a French scientist worked for 15 years to decipher it. The Egyptians did nothing! Another example is King Tut's tomb. Did the Egyptians discover it? No, an Englishman did. Egypt did nothing to discover them, so they shouldn't reap the rewards.

Egypt did nothing? It was them originally who made the object! They were found in Egypt and should remain in Egypt!

They were also the ones that lost the objects. After the objects were discovered, it was other nations that found their use. As I said before, it was a Frenchman that worked for 15 to decipher what the Rosetta Stone's purpose was. Going down a different route, the French are also working on discovering the mysteries of the Pyramids. There is even a video of it on Youngzine.
