Oh My Gosh it been a long time! Too long. :) Really missed Youngzine but was so busy with school and family I never got to it! Nice to see you guys again Youngziners! Marian! I missed you! Happy to see your still here. :) Great to be back. But now Im an eighth grader and almost fourteen! :D :D

I haven't read the books… Try reading the backs of them to see what they say. For example, The Hunger Games:Katniss Everdeen enters in the Hunger Games, but can she win.

How about an old abandoned ghost town in the old west.
Or you could make a funny fiction story about a talking pig.
What about an evil wizard who casts any weird evil spell on the planet or something.

Yeah, I usually go for the Berrington twins, or Lance Mackey, but this year I might go for one of the Seavey's. They just seem like such nice people.

I know right! Recovering from throat cancer, and still being able to run, and win, multiple iditarods.
I was kinda sad he's not able to run this year, I think its due to health problems. Hopefully not something serious!

It's a dog sledding race in Alaska. They do it because a few hundred years ago (It might not have been that long, I can't really remember) some people had a very serious case of diphtheria in Nome, so some people relayed medicine to them from Anchorage. Apparently, my I don't how many great grandpa was the first person to win the first iditarod.

I don't normally follow it, but I might watch it today :)

Oh yeah! The Balto thing? I read about that. Actually, a blizzard confused Balto and his master and they missed their relay station, causing them to brave frozen lakes and such all the way to Nome.

I think what you're talking about is a different thing, but I could be wrong.
I thought it was because people in Nome had Diptheria and they had no other way to get medicine there at the time.
