I've seen alot of people on Youngzine are Homeschooled. I'm homeschooled too! We have to do writing, and today I wrote a story for the contest with the plate of cookies and it counted for homework. I would have done the story anyways just because it looked fun, but its a bonus that it counts.

Last night I was writing a new story for Finish the Story contest, and I was more than halfway done, actually I was just about to finish it up and I accidentily deleted everything I just wrote, and then I closed the tab. So. I'll try to remember everything and rewrite it as best I can. Hopefully It will turn out OK. :(

Cool! I didn't know it was a finish the story contest, I just thought that it was make a story up involving cookies, so thats what I did. I'm going to finish the story this time though.

One of the teachers at the Connecticut shooting died a hero. She heard the gun fire and hide her whole class in the closets and cabinets of the class room. When the shooter came in, she told him they were in the gym. He shot a round of bullets into her and left. :(

All the teachers who died that day were heroes. They gave their life to protect children that they loved and nothing could ever be more selfless than that. The children also need to be remembered. They were a symbol of innocence that was destroyed. There are two things we can do to best honor the memories of everyone who died a week ago:
* Hug your families a little tighter and remember how lucky you are. Whenever you feel like the world is being unfair to you, just remember that nothing is more unfair than losing a child or a family memeber.
* We need to join the fight against guns. There are so many more people who would still be here today if guns weren't as easy to access.

i like doing gymnastics even though i dont take lessons or whatever, on my trampolein i can do a front flip and land it, I can land a front handspring, on solid ground i can do a cartwheel, 1 handed cartwheel, round off, and a back bend. I cant do them so well anymore though because in soccer i kind of messed up my hip, and since then my balance has been a little bit off when i'm doing a cartwheel or whatever.

The tree is up and decorated,
The presents set up creatively,
Apple cider is on the stove,
Eggnog with nutmeg in mugs.
The one thing that draws my eyes
Is the nativity scene on the side table.
It reminds us why we celebrate,
That glorious first Christmas.

Some people always forget,
Why Christmas came to be.
But me?
I will always remember,
Why we give gifts to each other on Christmas.

It's all about one baby,
Though it many seem insignificant.
It's all about Jesus Christ,
Coming down as a man.
When Mary saw that baby,
Did she know what he would do?
Thirty years later, he died on a cross for our sins.

So that is why we celebrate,
Christmas is a birthday celebration.
Jesus Christ is born!
This is a wonderful holiday!

Christmas would not be if it was not for Jesus. that is why Christmas was started, to celebrate the birth of Jesus. the true meaning of Christmas is Jesus coming down to earth as a man.
