Good suggestion and we were asked about it before as well.
Can you tell us a little bit more on how you would like this to look? Is it posing a question and having children comment (which we have done before HERE).. or are you thinking of something different such as forming two teams that take a pro/con position?
I think youngzine should have a Upage. It would be a page for each person and you could go and post something on their page.
Actually, Marian hit the nail on the head.. since we have many readers who are under 13, we need to be careful about Facebook-like features.
However, would it interest you if we provided a "Follow" button where you can follow other Youngziners by friend'ing them. You can see what they comment on, what new articles they may have written on Youngzine etc.
That would be really good Editor. Especially having a friend page.
I do want friending.
That would be helpful. I like that idea. Not too much like FB, but with some helpful features.
personally, i think that would be too much like Facebook. youngzine should be used for educational purposes and fun, not Facebook-like posts.

Okay this time the problem is REAL.
Here it is... I'm going on vacation tomorrow. I would be gone for 5 days. I have a dog and a cat. My dad would be home but he's known for not doing things. Should I still go on vacation?? I don't want him to forget. I wrote him a list but i might have left out some details. Need responses TODAY.

I think youngzine should have a section called UAdvice. someone would put in their problem and other people would give then advice on how to solve that problem.
That is a great thought. Do you think we need to keep this separate from UChat.. or could children seeking advice simpy post on UChat?
Some of you asked about UTravel as well.. we were not sure if children will have the time to go to so many forums.
If you feel having these separate from UChat is better, let us know. We would love to hear your thoughts as we build new features for the Fall.
I think we should keep it separate from UChat. I mean, Your Book Recommendations page is separate, and people could recommend books on UChat.
also, on the UAdvice page, people could just put out random advice, even if there isn't a question.
